This section contains some of the experiences I gained through manufacturing lab at Iowa State University.
From this course, I gained a better understanding of 3D printing technologies, orthogonal cutting, surface finish concepts, MasterCam, CNC machining, coordinate measuring, surface characteristics and hardness testing, casting, virtual welding, ultrasonic welding, robotic welding, heat treatment, GMAW, GTAW, non-destructive weld testing, SAW, mechanical testing of materials: stress and strain, and ductility and toughness, metal forming: hot and cold working, injection molding, extrusion processes, and robotics.
